The full release of the new Vodra Platform (V2) is now here and we are covering many of the exciting updates and changes that have been made. These changes have come through our ongoing attempts to better understand creators and the issues they are facing.
One of the defining features separating this launch from the last is our careful attention to long-term goals. We have designed the entire platform with future updates in mind. This focus on modular design and a robust infrastructure allows us to release updates earlier while still maintaining a platform that will stand the test of time. With all that said, let’s jump right into it!
Branding and Messaging
With a new platform comes a new way of communicating the value we can provide for creators and their audiences. While our whitepaper was well received by our own community, it’s not something we would expect a creator to pour through before setting up a profile. That’s why we have constructed a marketing page that is designed to quickly onboard new users. Visitors can quickly get started and sign up by linking their Twitch accounts, with more sign-in options to follow.
Profiles Pages
We’ve completely redesigned profile pages to prioritize telling a creator’s story while making it easy for audiences to contribute. Profile pages are now more customizable so that a creator can make the right first impression. We have also designed these pages with modularity in mind so that a creator can tailor their page to whichever use case they find most important (Such as donations, subscriptions, or others).
Payment Methods
We have expanded our payment methods to allow creators to accept both fiat and cryptocurrency. Currently, we are providing this through PayPal and Metamask. Supported fiat currencies include USD, or any supported conversion, of which there are many. Through Metamask we are providing the ability to donate $VDR, but will soon be expanding to other currencies and networks.
For creators, different payment methods can be accepted with ease as only an email or Ethereum wallet address is required. We then provide a quick and simple withdrawal process. This can be tracked through our new Dashboard.
Dashboard
We have built a dashboard where creators can manage their funds, track income, and view their most recent or top supporters. We believe that the cornerstone of any efficient enterprise is good data, and creators are no exception. We will continue to iterate on this design, especially as new currencies get added which have volatile prices.
Donation Alerts
We have built a powerful framework for live donation alerts along with custom tiers for different donation amounts. This framework is extensible for any application a creator might desire such as for subscriptions of different tiers, follows, and much more. All of these alerts are hosted on the Vodra Platform and integrated through any broadcast software (OBS, Streamlabs, Twitch Studio, etc). This means that there are no permissions required for integration, and these effects can be used on any hosting platform or social media network that supports live video.
Our template model allows creators to easily and intuitively set up different donation tiers for varying amounts. There can also be added effects added to a particular tier such as custom sounds, GIFs, and text-to-speech readouts.
Subscriptions
We are working on a sweeping update for our cross-platform subscription solution. This will enable content creators to monetize their audiences and offer the same perks and rewards, without being constrained by the big platforms.

Other Changes
For those who still want to access the first version of the Vodra Platform, we will continue hosting it under an altered domain: v1.vodra.io — while the new platform will inherit the unmodified vodra.io domain.
Those who had an account on the first version platform will need to remake their accounts on the new platform. Fortunately, we have made this easier than ever with a 1-step sign-in process using Twitch. We will be expanding to add more login options such as through Google or Twitter later on.
We recommend those who still have $VDR in one of our partnered staking pools to be mindful of the changed domain, but there will be no impact on the associated smart contracts.
We have added an FAQ for the Vodra Token which also includes links to relevant documents or agreements.
We have moved the creator spotlight reel to the front page and there will no longer be a dedicated page to browse creators. This is due to the fact that the vast majority of audiences are directed toward creator pages through links on Twitch or other social media platforms, as opposed to on the Vodra Platform itself. The browse creators page on the first version will remain intact.
